Our learning model is built on three key components:

  • Classroom Learning (65%)
  • Theoretical foundations are critical, and we ensure our students gain comprehensive knowledge through engaging classroom sessions. This is where they build the intellectual frameworks to understand complex concepts.
  • Hands-On Experience (29%)
  • We prioritize real-world application, allowing students to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Through practical projects, internships, and industry simulations, they gain invaluable experience.
  • Personal Study (6%)
  • Independent learning plays a crucial role in shaping well-rounded professionals. Students are encouraged to explore topics of interest, developing self-discipline and lifelong learning habits.

The FUNIC Learning Model: Five Levels of Transformation

Our unique curriculum is structured around five progressive levels, each with its own specialized course designed to prepare students for specific industry needs:

  1. Level One: Pathfinders
  2. Freshmen at FUNIC begin their journey with Business Entrepreneurship, a course inspired by the highly effective Igbo Apprenticeship System. Through Guided Observation, Guided Probing, and Guided Documentation, students gain firsthand insight into how businesses are built and sustained.
  3. Level Two: Trailblazers
  4. At this stage, students embark on two tailored paths:
  • BIZPRENEURSHIP for Business, Communication, and Management students, which merges Business Practice, Entrepreneurship, and Intrapreneurship. This course equips students to excel in their chosen career paths, whether they aim to lead their own ventures or drive innovation within established organizations.
  • Coding for Kids and Teens (KEENS) for Engineering students, offering a hands-on introduction to programming and technology that fosters early expertise in the field.
  1. Level Three: Innovators
  2. The focus shifts to Business Strategy and Change, where students master Case Study Analysis, Strategy Formulation, and Change Management. They are placed in simulated boardroom environments, assuming the roles of senior executives to solve real-world business challenges.
  3. Level Four: Visionaries
  4. Students at this level engage in the Entrepreneurship Laboratory (E-Lab), a course that fosters innovation and practical problem-solving. They design, test, and implement solutions, learning the intricacies of turning ideas into viable business models.
  5. Level Five: Masterminds
  6. In their final year, students enroll in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program, offered in partnership with EMAS. This program introduces them to advanced Strategic Management concepts and methods, taught by expert Russian faculty. It’s a rigorous capstone that prepares them for leadership roles in any industry.
